Empowering Rural Health Through Digital Fitness

The RemoteEx+ study is in collaboration with Emporia State University and aims to evaluate whether an app-based exercise program is feasible among rural sedentary adults. The goal is to create an effective method for delivering personalized exercise programming that reduces barriers to physical activity and enhances overall fitness. We are seeking adults aged 40 to 95 to engage in app-guided exercise sessions three times per week for 16 weeks, with questionnaires and physical assessments conducted before and after the study.

Velocity-Based Exercise Feedback in Individuals with Age-Related Muscle Loss

This study explores how movement speed feedback during a leg press exercise may influence performance, motivation, fatigue, and overall effort. The information we gather will help improve strength training and rehabilitation programs for older adults, ages 60 to 95, who experience sarcopenia, a condition related to aging that causes loss of muscle mass, strength, and physical function.
